Its getting to that point now where the summer is coming to an end. Having recently finished teaching, the normal feeling of starting back at school would be looming, worrying about whether I’d done enough prep, planning and relaxing before going back to the all consuming life of being a teacher. Having a change after 7 years in the job is such a blessing, I feel like I’m in such a privileged position to have even the opportunity to try something new. We are totally trusting in God that this is the right move for us and so much has been happening recently that really shows us that it is.
I am so excited for what is to come and we can’t even begin to guess what our next year will look like but I’m starting to realise that doesn’t actually matter. In this moment right now I couldn’t be happier, I’m getting to do something I love with people I love around me.
For those of you that follow me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook would have seen my visit to London yesterday – it was one of those days that just kind of happens quite organically, we didn’t really have many plans and it turned out to be the perfect kind of day. To be fair it was probably more to do with the fact that I was with Jenni, someone who just seems able to know where we need to go and how to get there and I just manage to happily follow and enjoy the journey – quite clueless really but happy none he less!
Oh also if you haven’t visited the shard I highly recommend going, it was beautiful and I have to admit we felt very sophisticated being able to be in that world. And London is just beautiful from that view! A little tip too we went to the ‘Aqua shard’ on 32nd floor, you don’t have to pay to get in and we got to enjoy a glass of loveliness from that height 👌
I also just have to add – how great has #GBBO been so far this season, I love it! More so this year than ever before. I’m also enjoying doing a bake to go with each themed week but bread week, mmm … What could I bake? Thinking caps on!
So here’s to new beginnings, they may be busy, they may be scary but I’ve learnt to enjoy and embrace it as by doing that it brings the most joy.
Thanks for reading,
Till next time
